Manufactured in 1883, New York engraved with broad scroll patterns on the barrel sides, cylinder flats and frame. There is a floral design on the top of the back strap and scallop and dot design on the back strap. The top of the barrel is marked with the short two line address "COLT D.A. 41" on the left side in an etched panel, the three-line, three-patent date marking appears on the left side of the frame and "41 CAL." is marked on the left rear of the trigger guard bow. The trigger guard and back strap are mis-matched (serial number 42621). Blade front and frame notch rear sights, nickel finish with niter blue trigger and screw heads, and fitted with smooth grips. The included Colt factory letter states that after a thorough search no records were found on this revolver.

Exceptionally fine as New York embellished with 90% untouched nickel finish remaining, showing some minor pitting on the cylinder and frame edges around the cylinder. The grips are very fine with some minor age cracking and a pleasant aged patina. The engraving and markings are clear. Mechanically fine.
