Description:

One of ten Spanish STAR Model 30 M and ten Model 30 PK pistols imported by Colt in 1986, acquired by the firm for possible domestic manufacture as a contender for the U.S. Army XM9 trials and commercial sales. These pistols bear standard STAR markings, with the addition of a "C" suffix to the serial number and the addition of the Colt address above the manufacturer address. After evaluating the submitted pistols and deciding not to continue with the XM9 trials, Colt ultimately decided not to manufacture the design and later released the 20 pistols for sale to Colt employees. Features fixed white-ramp blade front and adjustable orange-dot tangent rear sights. Two white lines painted into the left sides of the slide and frame denote the takedown position. This specific pistol is listed by serial number on page 519 of "STAR Firearms" by Leonardo Antaris. Includes original STAR blue plastic case with manual, cleaning rod, and bore brushes.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with some minor handling marks, faint spotting, and a slight plum coloration to the slide. Mechanically excellent.
