Manufactured from 1937 to 1944, Krieghoff released a limited number of Luger pistols to the commercial market during the war, chiefly using overrun or rejected parts from their Luftwaffe contracts. Only about 200 are believed to have been made with the "P" prefix in the serial number. Blade front and notch rear sights, with a blank chamber, "eagle/N" proofs on the underside of the barrel, left of the chamber and frame, and top of the breechblock, and a five-pointed rejection star on the right side of the extension. The toggle links are numbered to match on the underside, with a C-3 pattern on the front link. With straw finished controls, niter blue small parts, a set of checkered brown plastic grips, and a pair of nickel plated magazines with matching numbered alloy bases.

Excellent plus, with 99% plus original high polish blue finish, with a few scratches and dings concentrated on the gripstraps and minor edge wear and handling marks overall. Straw colors remain 98% overall, and the niter blue components retain 99% bright and fiery color. A few light dings and scratches present on the sharply checkered grips. Mechanically excellent. This extraordinary Krieghoff Luger cannot be improved upon!
