Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single red bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard markings, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and interchangeable chokes (improved cylinder/modified installed). The casehardened assisted-opening sidelock action displays near full coverage Purdey style rose and scroll engraving surrounding "A-10" banners on either lockplate and continuing onto the triggerguard, upper tang, and toplever. The gun features a single gold trigger and tang mounted safety/selector. The gun is mounted with a beautiful feather crotch figured forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with blued steel grip cap, gold inscription oval marked "SRM", and a leather wrapped recoil pad. This gun is consecutively serialized with a pair of 20 gauge C.S.M.C. A-10s in the previous lot. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both .731/.730 inches; minimum wall thickness .031/.033 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 16 1/16 inch length of pull; slight cast-off; weight 8 lbs. 6 oz.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes, a small patch of minor spotting on the lower barrel towards the muzzle, and minor handling evidence. The wood shows a few scuffs near the heel, light recoil pad scuff at heel, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
