This is a large, rarely seen Winchester advertising piece from the pre-World War II era for their factory loaded shotgun shells. Advertising pieces such as these would have been distributed to gun shops, hardware stores, and sporting goods suppliers throughout the country and displayed to grab the attention of passers by, letting them know that Winchester shotgun ammunition was sold inside. The banner itself measures approximately 24 inches tall and 119 inches long with the design printed in color onto white colored linen. The left side of the banner features large red and yellow text on a blue background, prominently stating "WINCHESTER/FACTORY LOADED SHELLS/SOLD EVERYWHERE". The right side shows cutaways images of three variations of shotshell, the black powder loaded "New Rival" and the smokeless powder loaded "Repeater" and "Leader". Cloth advertising pieces were not intended to be kept for long periods of time and very few example survive today in any condition, let alone in very good condition like this piece.

Fine, retains nearly all of the printed design with very minimal fading, a few scattered minor scuffs, and vibrant colors overall. There are some scattered minor tears and patches of fraying on edges. Cloth advertisements are rarely found complete and in fine condition like this one. This would make a fantastic display piece for your gun room or lounge!
