This is a masterful example of a John Bolliger signature series custom rifle from Mountain Riflery Inc. John Bolliger began creating custom rifles in 1966 and is now regarded among the top rifle makers in the world. The barrel is fitted with an engraved, ramped, hooded, beaded blade front sight with two gold bands near the muzzle, a raised quarter rib with a two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear sight with small sprays of floral scroll engraving coming off either end and gold inlaid centerline, "7mm Remington/MAGNUM" on the left of the chamber and "John Bolliger/RIFLEMAKER" on the right both surrounded by floral scroll engraving coming off a single gold band. The floorplate has been inlaid with a gold Sable in a plains scene surrounded by floral scroll with gold inlaid wire borders. The bottom metal is signed "GLIMM ENGR". The Pre-64 Model 70 style action displays the serial number on the left side and small sprays of engraving on the ring and bridge with a band of gold inlay at the front of the ring and a double band at the rear of the bridge. The action is fitted with a pair of engraved and gold inlaid scope rings holding a Zeiss Diavari-C 3-9x36 scope. Mounted in a magnificently figured pistol grip walnut stock with fancy fleur-de-lis checkering, contrasting forend, shadowline cheekpiece, and engraved and gold inlaid skeleton pistol grip cap and buttplate around a fancy checkered butt. Includes a certificate of authenticity from Bolliger. Consignor states this was made by Bollinger Sr.
