Manufactured in 1910, the gun was built with blued barrels featuring a single white bead sight on the matted concave solid rib which is marked "PARKER BROTHERS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CONN. ACME STEEL.", light engraving at the breech, and 2 5/8 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened boxlock action which displays three nicely cut game scenes surrounded by scrollwork. The game scenes consist of a pair of pointing dogs on the left side, a buck and doe in a field on the underside, and a pair of pointing dogs on the right side. The gun features a double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is mounted with a attractively figured and fancy border checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings as well as a pistol grip stock with fleur-de-lis carved drop points, blank gold inscription oval on the hard rubber grip cap and an engraved skeleton buttplate around the checkered butt. This gun is one of at most 19 guns built in this configuration of grade, gauge, barrel steel, barrel length, and vent rib according to page 309 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote. The action type, barrel length, ejectors, stock type, and single trigger are confirmed on page 434 of "Parker Gun Identification and Serialization" by Price and Fjestad while the grade is listed as A4 not A5, though that appears to be a recording error as the gun is certainly marked and engraved as a grade 5 (BH). Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .733/.731 inches; choke constriction .038/.036 inches; minimum wall thickness .025/.029 inches; 1 11/16 inch drop at comb; 2 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; slight cast-on; weight 7 lbs. 14 oz.

Very fine as refurbished, retaining 99% blue on the barrels, 40% case colors with the balance a silver patina, and some minor handling evidence. There are a few cracks inside the forend; otherwise, the wood is very good with a few light dings and scratches and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
