This beautiful rifle was built by early contemporary builder Art Holly, likely around the 1960s. One of the 3/4 inch wide straight Bill Large barrels is signed "A Holly," and both have dovetailed blade and notch sights and engraving including scrollwork and bow and arrow motifs. The lock mechanism, brass furniture, and brass and silver furniture are also engraved, including a federal eagle and shield design on the cheekpiece, and the stock features incised carved accents.

Very fine overall with nearly all of the thin original brown finish remaining on the barrels, bright lock, aged patina on the silver and brass, darker patina on the patchbox, and crisp engraving and carving throughout. Mechanically fine.
