Manufactured in 1863. The barrel has a cone front sight and the one-line New York address. The cylinder has the classic Naval Battle of Campeche scene, and the cylinder and frame have the standard patent markings. The left side of the trigger guard is marked "36 CAL" as well as "7." It has the standard blued, casehardened, and silver plated finishes. Matching full serial numbers appear on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, and back strap. The matching partial serial numbers appear on the cylinder, loading gate, and arbor pin. The wedge is numbered to another gun ("6411"). The partitioned case has wine colored lining, a few lead bullets, a "COLT'S/PATENT" marked iron bullet mold, original powder flask with patriotic/military theme marked "COLTS/PATENT," "L" shaped combination tool, and Eley cap tin. Provenance: Property of a Distinguished Southern Clergyman

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 75% bright original high polish blue finish. The cylinder retains traces of original blue finish with nearly all of the roll engraved scene remaining. 30% original case colors remain on the loading lever, frame, and hammer. The grip straps retain 95% age darkened original silver. The grip is excellent with a few minor handling marks and retaining nearly all original varnish. Mechanically excellent. The relined case is good with some minor handling/storage marks and typical high spot wear on the lining. The flask is fine and the other accessories are good.
