Originally manufactured in 1941 and most likely factory assembled/finished in the late 1940s with the post-war non-glare top slide blue. Only about 4,813 National Match Government Models were manufactured between 1932 and 1941. The matching numbered slide is marked with the two-line address and patent dates on the left side and "NATIONAL MATCH COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE.45" on the right side followed by the Rampant Colt. The serial number is on the right side of the frame below "GOVERNMENT MODEL". The blued barrel has a polished chamber hood and is marked ""COLT 45 AUTO MATCH" on the lower left and has a partial proof/inspection mark on the left of the lug. It is fitted with a wide checkered hammer, milled checkered trigger, arched checkered mainspring housing, and Swartz firing pin safety. The full blue magazine is marked "COLT/.45 AUTO." on the baseplate.

Excellent, retains 90% plus of the factory refinished blue with some scattered light scratches and handling marks and light edge wear. The grips are very fine with some scattered minor dings and blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
