Manufactured c. 1810. The lock is signed "OXBORROW", possibly for Edward or James Oxborrow of Woodbridge. The iron barrel is marked with "crown/P" and "crown/V" proof marks flanking a star stamp on the upper left at the breech and flares out to about 1 1/4 inches at the muzzle (gauge estimated). A 16 inch folding bayonet is mounted on top. The furniture featured light engraving and an acorn trigger guard finial. The stock has a horn forend tip and a checkered wrist.

Very good with mottled gray patina and extensive light pitting along the lock and barrel, aged patina on the furniture, and general mild overall wear, including scrapes and dings on the stock. Mechanically fine.
