This Queen Anne style pistol was manufactured by James Freeman of London who was an active gunmaker circa 1716-1736. The pistol has "JAMES FREEMAN" on the lower right under the frizzen spring, "LONDON" on top at the breech, and London proof and view markings flanking Freeman's "crown/IF" mark on the upper left. The cannon style screw-off barrel has turned rings and a stud for removal with a barrel wrench (absent). The highly figured grip has silver mounts, including the classic Georgian grotesque mask pommel cap.

Good overall with smooth gray and brown patina on the iron, dark aged patina on the silver, and some cracks and repairs in the grip. Mechanically fine.
