Manufactured in 1936, the left side of the matching numbered slide has the standard two-line address and patent dates while the right has the standard National Match and Colt markings followed by the Rampant Colt. The left of the trigger guard is marked "X/VP" while the right is marked "60", and the standard Government Model marking is over the serial number on the right of the frame. The barrel is blued with a polished chamber hood and marked "MATCH/COLT 45 AUTO" on the lower left and "MB" within a circle on the left of the lug. The recoil spring guide is a later replacement that is marked "PAT.NO.2522192" on the rear face, and the trigger is fitted with an adjustable shoe. It is fitted with blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, checkered slide stop, thumb safety, and wide hammer, and an arched checkered mainspring housing. It is also fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips and a military pattern replacement full blue magazine marked "C-L" and "L". The included factory letter confirms the current configuration, grips not listed, adjustable sight noted, and shipment to Capt. Jesse M. Dudley in Phoenix, Arizona, on 18 March 1936. There are references in records to a Captain Jesse M. Dudley 104th Division Quartermaster Train. Includes a correct factory box numbered to a different gun.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with some light edge/holster type wear, some light handling wear on the front strap and mainspring housing, and a few light handling/takedown marks. The grips are also very fine with some light handling wear near the bottoms, a few scattered light handling marks, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with mild handling/storage wear.
