Description:

Manufactured in 1938, this is a very fine example of a pre-World War II Colt Ace semi-automatic pistol. The left side of the slide is marked with the two-line address and patent dates, while the Rampant Colt is behind the serrations. The right side of the slide has the Colt Ace and caliber markings. The serial number is on the right side of the frame while the trigger guard is marked "P/VP" and "77" on the left and right respectively. It is fitted with blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, as well as a pair of checkered walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with some light edge/handling wear and some scattered light spotting, concentrated mostly on the grip areas. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered minor blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
