This is an excellent original example of a German military DWM Artillery Luger pistol manufactured in 1916 during World War I. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with a "1916" dated chamber and "DWM" monogram on the toggle link, three "crown" and Gothic letter military proofs and an imperial eagle firing proof on the right of the barrel extension, with the imperial eagle on the barrel and breech block. All matching visible serial numbers on components including the inside of the both checkered walnut grips and the nickel finished aluminum magazine with matching numbered walnut base.

Excellent, retains 95% plus original blue finish, 90% original straw finish on the small parts, with some minor edge wear, a few small patches of minor pitting on the toggle joints, and some minor freckling. Grips are very fine, with a small crack at the top rear corner of the left panel, a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
