Only 22 Grade 7 New Ithaca Double Guns were ever built. Showing blued Best Fluid Steel Barrels featuring dual bead sights on the matted flat vent rib, "ITHACA GUN Co." and "ITHACA, N.Y. U.S.A." marked on the right and left tubes respectively, 1 1/2 inch wedges of floral scroll at either breech, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened boxlock action which displays near full coverage floral scroll engraving including the toplever and upper tang and surrounding four beautiful gold inlaid game scenes consisting of a pair of mallards in flight on the left, a pair of standing pheasant cocks on the right, and bald eagle over ""MADE IN U.S.A." on the underside, and a majestic elk on the blued triggerguard. The gun features a single gold plated non-selective trigger, cocking indicators, and a tang mounted manual safety/selector switch with gold inlaid "R/S/L". The gun is mounted with a beautifully figured and fancy fleur-de-lis checkered beavertail forend with blued and engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap, blank copper inscription shield, and a leather faced ventilated rubber recoil pad.
