This exceptional BSA manufactured No. 4 Mk I (T) Enfield sniper rifle is fitted with a No. 32 Mk III scope and mount, and is all matching including its accompanying original scope case and original transit chest. "M47C/1945/V39291/TR" marked on the left of the receiver stock socket. The comb of the stock has a hardwood cheekpiece held on with two wood screws. Standard blade front sight and "N67" ladder rear sight. Matching serial number "V39291" stamped on the bottom of the forend, left of the receiver stock socket and on the bolt handle, and "39291" on the bottom of the magazine. The scope tube is marked with a red painted "W" above "TEL STG No 32 MK III/OS 2039 A/AK&S No23487/1945" above a broad arrow, with the standard post and cross-hair reticle pattern, and fitted in a cast scope mount matching serial numbered to the rifle "V39291" on the left. The matching scope number "23487" is stamped on top of the buttstock at the wrist, and "S51" is stamped on the bottom of the buttstock indicating conversion by Holland & Holland. Includes a Milsco 1944 dated brown leather sling, brown leather scope lens covers, the original green painted scope case, and the original green painted No. 15 Mk. I wooden sniper rifle transit chest, both the scope case and the transit chest have original labels with the handwritten matching rifle serial number "V39291" and scope serial number "23487".

Exceptionally fine, retains 85% plus wartime arsenal applied blue, phosphate and black finishes with a few small areas of light freckling. The magazine shows a brown patina. The wood is very fine with defined edges, some light handling marks, a few cracks visible on top ahead of the buttplate, and crisp stampings. Mechanically excellent. The scope, mount and scope case are very fine, with clear optics. The transit crate is very good with some light wear and a few absent chipped sections.
