Manufactured in the post 1935 Remington era and was one of just some 1,088 built in this combination of gauge, grade, barrel steel, and barrel length with fewer having ejectors and single triggers according to page 279 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote. The gun was built with blued barrels featuring a single bead sight on the matted concave solid rib which is marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. PARKER SPEC. STEEL", light engraving at the breech, and chambers measured 2 5/8 inch with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened boxlock action displaying standard GH engraving consisting of oval game bird scenes on the left, right, and underside surrounded by light scrollwork and line borders and featuring a single selective trigger and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is mounted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered splinter forend with lightly engraved fittings as well as a pistol grip stock with factory hard rubber grip cap, silver inscription shield, and an Hawkins rubber recoil pad. Excellent, retaining 95% original blue finish with some loss on the triggerguard/lower tang, 98% original case colors on the action, and a few minor handling marks and scratches. The wood is very fine with a few scratches, a few flakes in the varnish, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
