Manufactured as a limited run of 51 shotguns with one made for every state and Washington D.C. Blued Special Steel barrels with single steel bead on the matted vent rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and chokes marked modified/full, and a thin band of gold wire inlaid at the breech. The blued sideplated action displays a gold inlaid eagle with gold and silver Old Glory running behind it and "NEW YORK 1788" at the bottom on the left sideplate and a gold inlaid buckskin clad hunter and a turkey with "ELEVENTH STATE" at the bottom on the right sideplate. The rest of the action, top lever, and triggerguard is inlaid with thin wire borders with "1776-1976" inside a traditional laurel. The left sideplate is signed "J. BAERTEN" for FN engraver Jose Baerten. Mounted in a nicely figured multipoint checkered walnut Schnable tip forend with Deeley latch release and gold inlaid wire border on the shoe and straight grip stock with skip line checkered plastic buttplate. Includes original box and factory letter (serial no. 56552S76/NY1776-11) listing the current configuration when shipped to Male Town Inc. in White Plains, New York on December 29, 1976 on invoice number 152754, along with a copy of the invoice. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .726/.718 inches; choke constriction .018/.034 inches; minimum wall thickness .038/.041 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 4 oz.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with minimal handling marks and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine.
