Description:

Manufactured between 1980 and 1982, this revolver has been subsequently engraved by Master Engraver Alvin A. White to commemorate legendary Master Engraver L. D. Nimschke. The barrel features a wavy band at the muzzle with a spray to either side of the front sight and an intertwining line around, and a larger spray coming off the barrel lug. The lug is engraved to match with Nimschke style scroll and checkerboard patterns with "L. D. Nimschke./ENGRAVER/1832-1904" hand cut on the left side. The frame, triggerguard, and back strap display even more Nimschke pattern scroll on a punch dot background with a wavy line at the recoil lug, a fan at the top of the back strap, and flourishes between the nipples of the cylinder. The hammer is engraved with the ever iconic wolf's head motif. The barrel, frame, triggerguard, and back strap have been elegantly silver plated with the trigger, wedge, loading lever, cylinder, and hammer plated in gold. The work is signed "A.A. WHITE ENGR.S" under the grip on the left side of the triggerguard. Fitted with a magnificently carved dual American Eagle grip. Included with the revolver is a The Heritage guild display case and a Adams & Adams Engraving letter listing the revolver in its current configuration as engraved by A. A. White.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall as professionally embellished by Master Engraver Alvin A. White, retaining 99% plus silver and gold plating with minimal handling marks and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent.
