Manufactured in 1940. This first series Woodsman features the highly desirable Colt-King Super Target sight conversion with added serrated vent rib on the barrel marked "COLT-KING SUPER TARGET" on the left side, Patridge blade front sight with inset reflector, and fully adjustable rear notch sights. Standard markings on the barrel, frame, and slide, serial number on the front grip strap, checkered grips, and full blue Colt Woodsman marked magazine. Includes original box.

Very fine as upgraded by King Sight Company, retaining 95% plus blue finish with light handling marks, leading edge wear, and a soft Rampant Colt on the slide. Grips are excellent with crisp checkering. Strikery drops with safety, otherwise mechanically fine. Box is good with tears, and an absent lid short end.
