Developed in 1942 under the fictional nomenclature "Flare Pistol, 45 Caliber", the Liberator was intended to be air dropped over occupied territory. Built from machine stampings welded around a smoothbore 45 ACP barrel, the single shot pistol was to be used by angry civilians to lash out at their oppressors and more coordinated partisans to kill occupiers and steal their (much more expensive) weapons. Fitted with a zinc cocking piece, hollow grip, and sliding grip trap cover.

Excellent with 98% plus of the original phosphate finish. Mechanically excellent.
