Features fixed blade front and two position adjustable tangent (graduated with "100" and "200" in meters) rear sights, undated chamber, "DWM" monogram on the toggle link, grip safety, stock lug, desirable six inch barrel, and unaltered first issue safety arrangement with original "GESICHERT" marking retained on the lower position. With "crown" firing proofs marked on the barrel, extension, and breech block, along with "crown/M" naval acceptance proofs on the barrel and extension, with "crown/B" and "crown/U" proofs on the toggle link. With matching serial numbers on the frame and barrel, along with matching "39" partials on small parts, to include the extension. Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips numbers to other pistols, and a nickel finished magazine with re-numbered to match walnut base, concentric circles, and "crown/M" proof. With "W D/215" (Werft Danzig) marked on the backstrap, indicating issue through the Imperial Navy shipyard in Werft, which was a major nerve center for Imperial German naval operations.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining 90% professionally restored blue finish and 75% plus straw colors with some minor holster pattern edge wear, some limited thinning on the front grip strap and extension revealing mostly brown patina, minor freckling, and some mild hanldign wear. The replacement grips are very fine with some minor nicks in the otherwise defined checkering. Mechanically excellent. An exceptional example overall of an unaltered and unit marked Imperial German DWM Model 1904 Naval Luger.
