Description:

The first true commercial contract Luger pistols, the "American Eagle 1900" was intended explicitly for the American market. Fixed sights, with the signature "American Eagle" on the chamber, fast-taper barrel, flat-top breechblock, dished toggles with integral lock, hold-open, niter blue and straw colored small parts, and a nickel finished magazine with "flaming bomb" proofed hardwood base. The small parts are numbered in the early commercial pattern, including the checkered hardwood grips. Included with the pistol is a black leatherette custom case, pin punch, loading/takedown tool, and a combination oiler and cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 95% of the professionally restored blue finish on the frame assembly, 80% original blue on the barrel, toggle, and barrel extension, showing areas of brown patina on the barrel and chamber, edge wear and mild handling marks. The front sight blade is an oversized replacement, and the magazine base has been sanded and re-varnished. Grips are fine, with a few dings on the crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The accessories show minor wear.
