Built with blued steel barrels featuring a ramped beaded blade front sight and three leaf (one standing, two folding) rear sight on the matted solid rib, front sling swivel, standard markings, small wedges of scroll engraving at the breech, German proof marks dated 2007, and chambers with a single extractor. The barrels are fitted to a coin finished sideclipped boxlock action which displays scroll engraving surrounding a rhinoceros on the left and a bull cape buffalo on the right. The left side of the action is signed "D.W." for Merkel Master Engraver Dorothee Wage. The rifle features bushed firing pins, double triggers, cocking indicators, and a tang mounted manual safety. The rifle is fitted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with black plastic grip cap, raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, and Merkel rubber recoil pad.
