Manufactured in 1926 as one of just 199 produced in this configuration according to page 291 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote with a further 64 percent of those having ejectors like this one. The gun was built with blued steel barrels featuring a single bead sight on the matted concave solid rib which is marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. TITANIC STEEL", standard markings on the flats, and 2 1/2 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the casehardened action which displays the classic DH Grade engraving consisting of "PARKER BROS." banners on either side, a pointer the left, a setter on the right, and a quartet of pheasants on the underside all surrounded by scrollwork. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is fitted with an attractively figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings as well as a pistol grip stock with carved drop points, factory hard rubber grip cap, blank silver inscription oval, and an engraved skeleton buttplate around the checkered butt. The above configuration is confirmed on page 553 of "Parker Gun Identification & Serialization" by Price and Fjestad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .666/.668 inches; choke constriction .016/.022 inches; minimum wall thickness .023/.026 inches; 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 3/4 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 4 oz.

Very fine, retaining 99% professionally reapplied blue finish, some original case colors in the protected areas with the balance a mix of brown and grey patinas, some minor subsurface pitting at the breech, recut engraving on the triggerguard, and minor handling evidence. The wood shows some dings and scratches and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
