There is a dog's head on the trigger guard. The top of the barrel at the breech amid the engraving is marked "MODEL 10F" followed by "REMINGTON ARMS - METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO./REMINGTON WORKS, ILION, NEW YORK, U.S.A./PATENTED FEBRUARY 3, 1903 AND MAY 16 1905". The serial number is engraved at the front underside of the receiver in a banner and also engraved on the lower tang behind the trigger guard over "REMINGTON/UMC (in a circle)/TRADEMARK". The extra barrel is numbered to the gun, 30 inches in length, round, 12 gauge with the same markings and engraving, and engraved "FULL" on the upper left rear. Both barrels have 2 3/4 inch chambers and single bead sights. Blue finish and mounted with an extra fancy checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber Remington grip cap, vented Field Trail recoil pad and gold initial oval. Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel currently on the shotgun retains 75% original blue with some scratches from disassembling and some normal handling wear. The magazine tube retains 30% thin original blue finish mixed with smooth mottled gray patina. The receiver retains 40% original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. There is a smooth gray patina on the trigger guard. The extra barrel retains 75% original finish with some finish loss on the underside and normal handling wear. The forearm is very good with some minor handling marks and distinct checkering. The stock remains good with heavy checkering wear, a chip absent on the grip cap, replacement pad, and some scattered minor dents and scratches. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically fine. The case is good with exterior scuffs and scratches and tight stitching.
