Manufactured in 1979 and subsequently embellished. The frame and slide display broad wire borders which resemble the shape of the Colt armory domes often used in Colt iconography. The gun has been engraved in a stylistically modern motif of leafy patterns which intertwine with one another and flow behind the borders to just outside of each panel. The background of the engraving has been expertly matted creating a magnificent contrast and depth to the blue finish. Though the work is unsigned, it is clearly the work of a master of the craft. The pistol is fitted with fixed blade front and notch rear sights and a set of beautifully contrasted smooth grips. Includes a blue leatherette French fit Huey case with a tan velvet interior with an English style rosewood handled duster brush, turnscrew, and cleaning rod, and an extra magazine.

Excellent as masterfully embellished, retaining 99% plus bright high polish blue finish with minimal handling marks and crisp engraving. Grips are very fine with some minor age related cracks. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent.
