This rifle is based on originals by Herman Rupp (1756-1831) of the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania and was built by George Kieffer (1941-2021) of Temple, Pennsylvania. The straight octagon barrel has blade and notch sights and is signed "* G. Kieffer *". The lock is unmarked. The mounts are brass, and the curly maple stock features incised carving and molding, a nickel-silver Lehigh lady inlay ahead of the trigger guard, and inlaid brass wire and pin accents.

Very fine overall with nearly all of the original finish, minimal wear, and crisp engraving and carving. Mechanically excellent.
