The patchbox lid is inscribed "Wm. Buchele/GUNSMITH/1962" and is engraved with a bow and arrow design. The straight octagon barrel is signed "W. Buchele" and has a globe front sight and folding adjustable notch rear sight. The lock is also signed "Buchele" and has light engraving. The mounts are brass and nickel-silver and feature primarily floral engraving along with a spread wing eagle and shield motif on the cheekpiece inlay, and the curly maple stock has some incised molding and attractive relief carving, including raised relief scrolls flowing off of the cheekpiece. The front trigger presses forward to set the rear trigger.

Fine with gray and brown patina on most of the iron, some light oxidation, dark aged patina on the brass, distinct engraving, resurfaced frizzen, distinct stock carving, attractive flame figure, and minor overall wear. Mechanically fine.
