Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with crisp rifling and minor streaking.
Description:

Manufactured under contract for the United States Army in 1920 per the frame number, 1918 per the butt number. The butt number falls within the 151,801 to 154,800 serial range of 3,000 revolvers sent to the U.S. Army Reserve Depot of South Schenectady, New York, on February 19, 1919, as listed on page 410 of "Colt .45 Service Pistols" by Charles W. Clawson. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, two line Colt's address, model designation, and U.S. property mark on the barrel, Rampant Colt logo and "eagle head/S15" proof on the left of the frame, along with "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917" and "No/151/833" marked on the bottom of the butt. Fitted with a pair of smooth oiled walnut grips with matching "303755" written on the interiors in pencil.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining 90% original brushed blue finish with some minor edge wear, some minor thinning on the grip straps with grey patina, a minor cylinder drag line, and otherwise limited minor handling marks. The grips are very fine as sanded and re-oiled. Mechanically excellent.
