Patterned after the Mauser K98k military service rifle, with similar size and weight, but reduced to a single shot rimfire caliber for training purposes. Features fixed blade front and tangent rear sights (graduated from 25 to 200 meters), K98k pattern bayonet lug on the upper band, "Walther banner" on top of the chamber, and "KK Wehrsportgewehr" on the rear receiver ring. The left side of the barrel is marked "KAL .22 LANG FUR BUCHSEN" followed by "crown/N" and "Nitro", with "crown/B, G, and U" proofs on the right. The left side of the receiver bears the serial number, with "crown/N, B, and U" proofs on the right along with the manufacturer's address, as well as "crown/B and U" proofs on the bolt handle. Matching visible serial numbers found on the receiver and bolt handle. Fitted in a smooth K98k patterned walnut stock. Includes a K98k pattern leather sling and blued steel muzzle cover.

Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with some limited minor edge wear, some minor freckling/spotting, some thinning revealing mostly brown patina, and some mild handling marks. The stock is also very fine with scattered minor scuffs and some down repairs in the left side of the butt. Mechanically excellent.
