Manufactured in Iraq under license from Beretta, the 7.65 mm Tariq is patterned directly after the Beretta Model 70 pistol. No formal commercial importation of either the 7.65 mm or 9 mm Tariq pistols was ever established, with the most common source for these pistols being the hands of U.S. soldiers who brought them from either Operation Desert Storm or the Global War on Terror as field-captured war trophies. Such gold plated Tariq pistols have been attributed as presentation items for high-ranking officers and dignitaries. Features fixed sights blade front and notch rear sights, Arabic legend on the left side of the slide, and "TARIQ 7.65m/m IRAQ - Licensed by BERETTA" on the right of the slide. Fitted with a pair of checkered black plastic grips with silver Hammurabi medallions and a gold plated magazine with a thumb extension. Includes a hobbyist display case and original Tariq manual.

Very fine, retaining 80% plus original gold plating with thinning and edge wear present mostly on the sides of the slide, some minor spotting, and light handling wear. The grips are also very fine with a hairline crack in the right panel. Mechanically excellent. The custom case is fine.
