Manufactured in 1925 as one of only 353 built in this configuration per page 279 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote. Built with dual white bead sights on the matted solid rib which is marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. PARKER SPEC. STEEL", and chambers measured 2 1/2 inch with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened action which features GH pattern engraving consisting of oval game bird scenes on the left, right, and underside surrounded by light scrollwork and line borders. The gun features double triggers and tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is fitted with an attractively figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with Parker grip cap, silver inscription shield marked "R.H.T./1927", and a Pachmayr Whiteline recoil pad. The above gauge, barrel length, barrel steel, and ejectors are confirmed on page 525 of "Parker Gun Identification & Serialization" by Price and Fjestad. Includes a leather mutton leg takedown case with plaque inscribed "R.H. Tenney/Lexington/Mass." and a three-piece cleaning rod. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .667/.665 inches; choke constriction .025/.028 inches; minimum wall thickness .027/.028 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 11/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 1 oz.

Very fine, retaining 95% original blue finish with much of the loss on the lower tang and triggerguard, 70% original case colors with some grey and brown patina, light handling evidence, and crisp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. Case is good with wear and loose stitching.
