Manufactured in 1919 on a "00" frame. According to the table on page 279 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote, this is one of only 64 built with this combination of grade, gauge, barrel length, and barrel steel. Blued Parker Special Steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the matted, concave solid rib with doll's head extension marked "PARKER BROS MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. PARKER SPEC. STEEL", standard markings on the flats including the "P.S." for Parker Special Steel, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. Casehardened actions featuring standard GH engraving of oval game bird scenes on the left, right, and underside surrounded by light scrollwork and line borders. Double triggers, standard markings on the water table, and tang mounted automatic safety. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered splinter forearm with Deeley latch and engraved fittings and a straight grip stock with blank silver inscription shield and Parker Brothers dog's head buttplate. Barrel and stock measurement (R/L): bores 9 inches from the breech .558/.558 inches; choke constriction .025/.024 inches; minimum wall .026/.028 thickness inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 7/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 10 oz.

Very fine, retaining 95% original blue on the barrels, much of the strong traces of original blue on the trigger guard, and 25% original case colors mostly in the protected areas with the balance faded to silver. The barrels show light scratches and scuffs, and the action has generally mild handling evidence. The wood is fine with numerous dings and scratches, a slight crack on the upper tang, a dark area near the toe, and worn but well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
