Excellent World War II U.S. Marked Remington Model 11 Semi-Automatic Shotgun

"RK" November 1941 date code on the left of the barrel at the breech, "U.S." and flaming bomb proof marked on the left of the receiver, "MILITARY FINISH" marked on the left of the receiver, crossed Ordnance cannons and "FJA" (Frank J. Atwood) inspection cartouche marked on the left of the buttstock, marked for modified choke with 2 3/4 inch chamber, with a single nickel bead front sight. The barrel assembly is non-matching numbered "457246" (along with a crossed out number) on the bottom and was possibly factory assembled this way during the war, as Remington was utilizing commercial shotguns out of their inventory to fulfill government needs for aerial training shotguns. Length of pull is 14 inches.

ConditionVery fine, retains 80% original blue finish with some smooth brown around the edges of the receiver. Wood is very fine with some light scratches, a minor chip at the toe of the buttplate, and defined edges. Mechanically excellent.
