Description:

Manufactured in the 2000-19500 serial number range, the Model 1900 was DWM's first true commercial production Luger, and the American Eagle variant was intended specifically for export to the lucrative United States market. The American Eagle seal of the United States is marked on top of the chamber, with the "GERMANY" export mark on the front of the frame. These Lugers have the early features such as the long frame with flat recoil spring, 4 3/4 inch tapered barrel, recessed breech bolt, dished toggles with toggle lock on the side, grip safety, and first type safety lever with the bright polished lower safety area. The pistol has a deep rust blue finish with the grip screws, front sight blade, and connecting pins heat blued and the extractor, toggle link, ejector, takedown lever, trigger, magazine release, and thumb safety lever with a straw color finish. Matching visible serial numbers on various components including the interior of the right grip panel, with "37" marked on the interior of the replacement left grip panel, a correct unmarked magazine with a nickel plated body and walnut base.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retains 95% original blue finish with some minor high edge wear, light handling marks and some light freckling on the grip straps, and 85% of the bright original straw remains on the small parts. Grips are also excellent with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
