Manufactured by the Mauser factory in 1935 and complete with its original matching numbered magazine. Features blade front and notch rear sights, "G" 1935 date coded chamber, "S/42" Mauser code on the front toggle link, drooped wing "eagle/63" and "S|92" proofs on the extension, drooped wing "eagle/63" proof on the barrel, "eagle" firing proofs on the barrel, extension, and breech block, and a drooped wing "eagle/63" on the magazine base. All visible serial numbers match including the magazine, with the replacement grip panels unnumbered. The second digit in the matching number "07" on the sideplate appears to be stamped above another number, a factory error. Production demands during this period were high, so errors such as this were precluded from being discarded. The lot is also accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from noted author Jan C. Very fine, retains 80% plus original blue finish and 85% original straw colors, with some light holster edge wear, grip strap wear and some light freckling. Replacement grips are also very fine with some nicks concentrated on the right panel and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
