Description:

Originally manufactured at the Tula Arsenal in the Soviet Union, this SVT-40 Tokarev is marked as a weapon captured in the field by Finland and returned to service following inspection. With many common pieces of equipment between them, Finland was aggressive about putting captured Soviet ordnance to work. Hooded post front and tangent rear sights, with "star/1941" on top of the receiver ring and the Finnish Army "SA" acceptance stamp on the left side near the serial number. The sides of the receiver are grooved for a scope mount, but no cut has been made for the locking wedge. Mixed numbers overall, with the "SA" mark also present on the magazine. Fitted with a ventilated metal heat shield around the barrel, ventilated forearm, smooth pistol grip, cupped buttplate and a brown leather sling. Transliterated original S/N: GM1590.

Rating Definition:

Very good as arsenal refurbished, with 70% of the blue finish, showing areas of gray and brown patina, mild spotting and light handling marks. The wood is also very good, with a number of scuffs and dents. Mechanically excellent.
