Built on an unmarked Model 1903 action and featuring a blued steel barrel with a ramped hooded blade front sight, front scope block, "No. 1565 GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK" signed on the top, and ".257 ROBERTS" marked on the left of the chamber. The barrel is fitted to the blued action which retains the magazine cut-off, matted front receiver ring, jeweled bolt, checkered bolt handle, and rear scope mount holding an Unertl 14x scope. The bottom metal is also blued and engraved with a large stylized "G" flanked by scrollwork. The rifle is mounted in a nicely figured and multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with contrasting forend tip, sling studs, shadowline cheekpiece, blank inscription oval, and a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as built by Griffin & Howe, retaining 97% blue finish with some high edge wear, some light spotting/pitting on the bottom metal, some scratches and dings on the wood, stress line at upper tang, and sharp checkering on the stock. Mechanically excellent. Scope optics clear.
