Built with blued steel Winchester Proof Steel barrels featuring dual bead sights on the matted flat vent rib, chokes marked "MOD"/"FULL", 1 1/4 inch wedges of scroll engraving at either breech, and chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a blued action which displays lovely Winchester 21-5 pattern engraving consisting of attractive scrollwork surrounding a pheasant cock on the left, a grouse on the right, and a setter with a shot quail on the underside as well as a "Geno" marked on the triggerguard over the eliminated original gold inlaid marking. The gun features a single selective trigger and a tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid "SAFE" indicator. The gun is fitted with a gorgeous highly figured 21-A pattern checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip Monte Carlo stock with matching checkering, factory hard rubber grip cap, and a red rubber Winchester recoil pad. Included is a second 26 inch barrel set with its own beavertail forend, chokes marked "WS-2"/"WS-2", and 2 3/4 inch chambers. Also included are two letters, one from the Cody Museum confirming the above two barrel set, barrel lengths, sights, chambers, choke markings, engraving, stock carving, safety, ejectors, and Monte Carlo pistol grip stock when the gun was completed on September 15, 1950, as well as a 1953 factory return date for "New Beavertail, Adjust action". The other letter from Herb Orre stating that he was the engineer and chief inspector when this gun was completed for an Ike Pancake of Toledo, OH, that both barrel sets were rebored by him to his own "Superchoke" pattern, and that the engraving was carried out by late Master Engraver George Ulrich. Barrel measurements for the extra set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .736/.737 inches; choke constriction .010/.016 inches; minimum wall thickness .024/.031 inches. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .729/.730 inches; choke constriction .032/.010 inches; minimum wall thickness .029/.027 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 1 3/4 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs.

Very fine, retaining 85% original blue finish with light handling evidence, a few patches of light oxidation on the underside of the action, lost finish on the modified triggerguard (see above), some thin spots in the wood varnish, a few light dings and scratches on the wood, a few gaps in the wood to metal fit, and crisp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The extra barrel set is also very fine with a small patch of pitting and nearly all of its original blue finish.
