The included factory letter confirms the serial numbers, calibers, barrel lengths, blue finish, the grips listed as "wood", along with the Class "B" scroll engravings, gold inlaid band at the muzzles, and gold inlaid "rampant colt" on the left side of the barrel lugs of both revolvers in the set (listed as performed by A.A. White Engraving Co.), and furnished with a two-drawer presentation case when included in a shipment of six sets sent to Aeromarine Supply Co. at 7605 Eastwood Mall in Birmingham, Alabama, on July 24, 1985. The front grip strap of revolver "A" is marked "COLT ENG." on the right side under the grip line. Both are fitted with smooth one-piece grips with matching serial numbers written on the interior in ink along with "HAND MADE BY/D.C." in red ink under the left side panels. Includes the aforementioned walnut two-drawer presentation case fitted for both revolvers, two Eley Bros. cap tins, two appropriate Colt powder flasks (one brass and large, the other small and blued steel), two brass bullet molds with casehardened sprue cutters, and two "L" shaped combination tools. Keys for the case are absent.

Excellent overall as masterfully factory embellished by A.A. White Engraving Co., retaining 99% plus original blue, casehardened, and gold inlay finishes with limited handling marks and crisp engravings. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine.
