Trademarked in 1878 in Denver, Colorado, H.H. Heiser Saddlery produced a wide range of leather goods, including gun leather, well into the 20th century. This deluxe dress dual holster rig was made for a pair of 5 1/2 inch Colt Single Action Army revolvers. The belt and holsters are decorated with high quality, near full coverage deep relief carved floral motifs. The holsters are in the Mexican loop pattern featuring two loops, open toe, and contrasting leather lacing. The belt has 30 cartridge loops. The belt and both holsters are marked with the H.H. Heiser logo along with "753" on the holsters and "65/40" on the belt. The sterling silver Irvine & Jachens Inc. belt buckle features full coverage floral and scroll engraving along with a relief gold inlaid horse's head in the center of a five-pointed star. Irvine & Jachens started in 1886 and continues to manufacture high quality police and fire badges and other hand engraved products. They are the oldest badge manufacturer in the West.
