Description:

The successor to the STEN Gun of World War II fame, the Sterling was essentially the peak of "tube gun" weapon design, and would serve as one of Great Britain's go-to close combat weapons through the Cold War and beyond. This example was commercially produced by noted American NFA manufacturer Charles Erb as a "STENling" (a grouping of Sterling components installed on a modified STEN tube receiver). Blade front and two-leaf rear sights, with the Erb address, "bullet" logo and serial number on the left side of the ventilated tube, "DGS" on top of the tube, Sterling markings and "N(broad arrow)Z" New Zealand proof, on the magazine well, right handed three position "A R S" selector switch, checkered grip, and an underfolding stock. Magazine absent.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as assembled and refinished, with 98% of the Erb-applied textured black finish, showing minor wear and handling marks overall, and a few dings and scuffs on the grip. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
