John Edward Barnett was a contractor to the Customs and Ordnance departments in the U.K. in the early 19th century. This pair of pistols are signed "BARNETT" on the locks and have London proof marks on the upper left barrel flats. The locks and mounts feature foliate and martial engraving patterns. The pistols are fitted with swivel mounted ramrods and come in a hardwood case fitted for both pistols, powder flask, powder measure, two small caliber ball molds, and some oversized cast lead balls.

Very good overall with bright grey patina on the iron, lightly aged patina on the brass, faint crack at the tail of the lock, and some scattered minor handling marks on the wood. Mechanically excellent. The restored/relined case and accessories are good with mild storage wear.
