Factory letter states the revolver was shipped to King Gun Sight Co. of San Francisco, California, on September 24, 1947 with a 6 inch barrel in .38 Special caliber, blue finish, and type of stocks not listed. This was a 39 gun shipment. King Super Target rib with blade front sight ahead of an angled mirror and integral target adjustable rear sight. Checkered trigger and King hammer. "COLT-KING SUPER TARGET" marked on the left of the vent rib. Nicely figured hardwood checkered finger groove grips. Provenance: The Charles Marx Collection

Very fine as upgraded by King, retaining 98% of the refinished blue finish, slight muzzle rub and light cylinder drag line. The grips are excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
