Manufactured c. 1942-43 on order by the United States Government. Blade front and notch rear sights, with "PROPERTY OF U.S." on top of the barrel, "PROPERTY OF/U.S." on the right side of the frame above a "crossed cannons" Ordnance cartouche, with the standard markings on the frame and slide, and a set of "HS" marked checkered grips. Included with the lot is a black cardboard box, with a black-on-red High Standard Model B label on the lid (with an added, non-matching number and an ink stamped crossed cannons cartouche with "HARTFORD ORDNANCE DISTRICT U.S. ARMY" on the belt), and a black-on-red instruction card.

Excellent, with 97% plus original blue finish, showing minor edge wear and handling marks. The grips are very good, with some dings on the checkering and tool marks on the screws. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair, with some scuffing and stains on the label and wear and tear concentrated on the edges.
