Description:

One of the descendants of the famous Browning 1917 machine gun, the Model 1919 discards the heavy water jacket in favor of an air cooling arrangement, increasing the mobility of the weapon, and variants of the Model 1919 would be American military mainstays in multiple roles for decades. Folding blade front and ladder rear sights, with the Ramo address, S/N and model markings on the right side plate, ventilated barrel heat shield, a pintle mount, and a pair of "spade" grips and checkered "butterfly" thumb trigger on the rear. Parts are from multiple sources. Included with the item are a black painted field tripod (sans T&E mechanism) and two canvas transport cases.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 97% plus Ramo-applied matte gray phosphate finish, with a small amount of covered pitting on the military surplus rear sight, and light handling marks overall. Grips are excellent, with minor scuffing. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
