Manufactured in 1907, this is a very fine example of a special ordered and British proofed Winchester Model 1892 rifle. The top of the barrel and receiver at the breech have Winchester factory oval proofs and there are British proofs offset to the left on both, as well as on top of the breech block. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line Winchester address and patent date and the caliber marking at the breech. The upper tang is marked with the three-line model and trademark information, and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. There is an import mark on the inside edge of the receiver rail. It is fitted with a blade front sight (modified/portion absent), a three-leaf express rear sight with platinum inlaid center lines, and a Lyman peep sight mounted on the upper tang. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a checkered steel shotgun buttplate.

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish, 50% of the faded original case colors, and 60% of the original nitre blue on the loading gate with some mild wear, primarily on edges and handling areas. The wood is fine with scattered minor handling marks throughout and a small patch of filler on the left of the forearm. Mechanically excellent.
