Description:

The factory letter lists this revolver in .357 Magnum with a 7 1/2 inch barrel, nickel finish, and wood grips and indicates it was shipped to the Western Reserve Arms Co. in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 7, 1970. Features fixed blade front and top strap notch rear sights, one-line Colt address on top of the barrel with the model and caliber designation on the left slide, two-line patent dates in front of Rampant Colt on the left of the frame, along with "triangle/VP" and "U" stamped on the left of the trigger guard, and another "A" (double struck) stamped on the right side. Matching partial serial number "227" marked on the front of the cylinder, with "406" assembly number on the loading gate. Fitted with a pair of smooth walnut grips with matching "227" partial serial numbers written on the interiors in white grease pencil. Includes an un-numbered Colt "stagecoach" box with appropriate end label marking. Provenance: The Collection of Ken Gibilisco

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 99% plus original nickel plating with a minor visible cylinder drag line, limited minor handling evidence, and crisp roll-marks. The grips are exceptionally fine as oiled. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some minor edge fraying.
